Don’t Sabotage Your Dreams

Life is funny in the way that pieces of paper is security for most.  I moved to South Carolina with a plan in mind; get a full-time job that pays well.  Save my money so I can travel each year to a new place and live life the way it is meant to be lived.  Well I got the move to South Carolina right.  However, God had different plans for my time.  If you really think that you have control over your life you better reassess your life and the situations you have been in.  The only control we have is how to experience the day-to-day happenings in your life.  Now we do have the ability to create the life we want but most people have no idea how to do this so they sabotage themselves at every turn.

Your belief system is your foundation of what you can create and the life you can have.  If you want to be a millionaire but you truly believe that money is evil, it is never going to happen.  For me I have to constantly do a system check up on my beliefs and thoughts so I am not creating the opposite of what I really want.  I want to be happy for the rest of my life and granted it may only be another 30 or 40 years if I am being positive but I want it to matter.  However, I have to decide what will give me purpose in order to do this.  People must have purpose, fire in their belly reasons to exist and be happy every day.  If you have a job that you hate and dread going to work everyday you better find one that gives you joy because you will never be able to have the life you want with that dread every day going on in your life.

I started driving for Lyft and Uber, in the beginning as a pass time until I could find a well-paying job that gave me benefits.  But, unknowingly at the time I was my worst enemy because I really did not want a “go to the office job” everyday.  I loved driving when and where I wanted and meeting new people.  The only issue was money which we all need to survive.  But, I kept telling myself that I needed a steady job that provided security so I could take paid time off for vacations each year.  Then it finally dawned on me.  Why would I want to work 50 weeks out of the year to be able to take two off with pay?  Also, why would I want to pay upwards of $30 a payday for insurance when I can get it cheaper myself?  Well, this is what I was taught and my belief system was sabotaging me all along the way.  I had to stop and think…why do I want an office job?  Money, ok I could put some away for the trips but really?  Why do I want to get up everyday and go to a place that usually is so political that it makes most sick and never want to go there anyway?

So I accepted the fact that I can drive and make the money I need to get by.  Not just survive payday-to-payday, but go out to eat once or twice a week and do things I want to do.  Now I had no idea that Myrtle Beach shuts down so much during the off-season.  I thought it would be slow, but no, restaurants and parks actually shut down until the next season.  This blew me away.  So I needed a little more income to help so I started doing the Instacart shopper job.  PBELL8214E  is my referral number if any of you are interested.  This is really cool!  I go to the store where a customer has already gone online and ordered their groceries and paid for them.  I go into the store and pick the groceries off the shelf and go to the check out where the company has loaded the funds onto my company debit card and pay for the groceries and then deliver them.  I love this!  I made over $126 my first two days.  I made over $300 last week.  This with my driving is doing what I need to have the life I want.  I still choose my hours and days that I want to work and have fun!  I never thought life could be so satisfying!  Yes, I can hear God laughing and whispering…I tried to tell you this years ago but you were not ready to hear it.

So, I live in a condo over looking a beautiful golf course, work a few hours in the morning driving people to and from work.  Take a few hours to relax to do things I want then if I decide to I go shopping for other people to earn more.  I live in Myrtle Beach South Carolina!  This is mind-blowing to me but when I really look at it I can see the miracles that God has done in my life every minute.  If one of my regular rides have the day off, wow! here comes another request to fill in that income gap.  Thank you God for all the wonderful miracles you have placed in my life and continue to give me every minute of every day!

Always take time to look at your situation in life to decide if this is how you want to live life and if it is, give thanks!  If it is not, then make sure you are not sabotaging your own dreams and go get them!  Happy Creating Everyone!
